Development undertakings shall be done in the context of promoting the ideals of the municipality. Thus, the general development direction that the municipality shall take shall be guided by and shall be directed towards the vigorous attainment of its paramount aspirations, lucidly stated as follows:
“Bongabon as a first class and self-reliant municipality, with stable political structure, sufficient livelihood, a healthy, clean and peaceful environment, with useful and sound infrastructure and with residents that are healthy and with moral values and character.”
- Residents are united, committed and accountable and progressively work to uplift the standards of living through the acquisition of knowledge and skills;
- Effective and efficient local governance and linkages are in place; and,
- All sectors of the society are cooperating with the local government towards development and progress of every resident.”
Towards the attainment of this vision, the municipality puts premium on pursuing progress that is driven by proactive governance and meaningful public participation in the development process, as embodied by its development mission:
“Enable the transformation of Bongabon into a peaceful and progressive municipality where:
These principles shall dictate the path with which development shall be carried out in the next five years and beyond. The MTDP build on these ideals and aspirations and translates the same into concrete strategies and tangible undertakings that would take the municipality closer to the realization of these ideals.
